BikeSafe is an initiative run by Police Forces around the United Kingdom who work with the whole of the biking world to help to lower the number of motorcycle rider casualties. By passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, police motorcyclists can help you become a safer more competent rider.
RoSPA Advanced Motorcyclists Coventry have actively supported Warwickshire BikeSafe over a number of years, with a number of our Observers and Advanced Observers supporting the initiative. Courses being run throughout the year from the Heritage Centre, Gaydon.
Unfortunately, in response to the need for financial cut-backs within the Warwickshire & West Mercia Police Forces, this valuable and beneficial resource will end as of January 2013 and so will no longer be available within the Warwickshire area.
As a group we'd like to pass our thanks onto Neil Colledge, Co-ordinator for Warwickshire BikeSafe and to all his colleagues for allowing us to be involved. It's been a huge privilege and we have benefitted greatly as a group from this opportunity.
